The 1st Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Conference (WLEC2006), held from 23rd to 26th June 2006 in Bangkok, Thailand at the First Hotel, launched a distinctive global forum where women leaders, change-makers and practitioners gathered to explore leadership, empowerment and educational advancement. As the founding edition, WLEC2006 established a vision of inclusive, cross-cultural dialogue, meaningful connections and research-driven practice in the field of women’s leadership and empowerment.

Though this early edition predates the digital archiving system of Tomorrow People Organization, it set the tone for a conference series committed to:
